Would your GCSE, A level student or graduate welcome qualified, impartial and experienced 1:1 careers support whenever they need it?

Careers Tutoring

Where can I find careers advice for my year 16 year old son? Which A levels could be ideal for my daughter? Where can we find up to date careers information? How do I ensure my son is researching widely enough? These are just some of the questions families ask My Careers Tutor every day. We help parents, students and families by providing private 1:1 careers guidance sessions for students and graduates age 15-25+.

We offer support just when your student needs it during the year. And for as many sessions as they need- to come to decisions. We handhold each student and graduate through the process of research, reflection, decision making and prioritisation around their next vocational or educational steps. Why might private support be helpful? As currently, careers support in UK via schools is excellent, but students are often unable to access enough time with professionals, due to timetables, budgets and resources.

Careers tutoring supports students to consider educational and careers steps. It has developed in response to parent requests for more time with students to discuss and plan ideas.
  • UK Schools, colleges and universities now provide highly qualified & experienced Careers Counsellors. However students can usually access 1 career session. Most students need much more.

  • A Careers Counsellor for 12 years, Melanie Forrester, Founder of My Careers Tutor, knows the limitations of what can be covered in just 1 short session.

  • Parents asking for private support led to Melanie offering careers tutoring. If you would like bespoke support for your son or daughter, please email melanie@mycareerstutor.co.uk or call 0044 (0) 7747 012221.
